...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM MST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southwestern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 930 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 636 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms between Sierra Vista and Saint David . This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Babocomari River, Escalante Wash, San Pedro River, Walnut Gulch, Willow Wash and Clifford Wash. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sierra Vista, Whetstone, Huachuca City, Fairbank and Charleston. - This includes the following highways... Route 90 near mile marker 312...and between mile markers 319 and 324.
