...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THURSDAY TO 4 AM AKDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Minor Coastal Flooding expected. Water levels of 4 to 6 feet above the normal high tide line, peaking during high tide. * WHERE...Bering Strait Coast and Southern Seward Peninsula Coast. * WHEN...From 10 AM Thursday to 4 AM AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS... For Teller: Portions of Front Avenue may be flooded. For Nome: Water may approach homes in Belmont Subdivision. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A low in the Western Bering Sea will send a front moving East in the coast, resulting in south to southeast winds ramping up Thursday morning through Friday, before diminishing through Saturday. Sea levels will remain elevated through Friday before gradually subsiding Friday night into Saturday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. &&
