12 inches possible with locally higher amounts on south-facing
slopes, including McGrath. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Lower Koyukuk Valley, Lower Yukon and Innoko Valleys,
Middle Yukon Valley, North Slopes of the Western Alaska Range,
South Slopes of the Western Brooks Range, Upper Kobuk Valleys, and
Upper Kuskokwim Valley.

* WHEN...From Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

* WHAT...Clear skies will lead to air temperatures as low as 50
below zero. Winds of 10 to 15 mph will lead to wind chills as low
as 60 below zero.

* WHERE...Lower Koyukuk Valley, Lower Yukon and Innoko Valleys,
Middle Yukon Valley, and Upper Kuskokwim Valley.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM AKST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 60 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.
