For the Small Craft Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and waves 5 to 8 ft occurring. * WHERE...Saxon Harbor WI to Black River MI and Black River to Ontonagon MI. * WHEN...For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, until 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ Sunday. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ Sunday. * IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in heavy freezing spray is hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of stability. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should prepare for dangerous accumulation of ice on their vessel. If possible, remain in port, avoid the warning area or conduct mitigation. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions. &&

This includes the Tribal Lands of the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Red Cliff Band, the Bad River Reservation, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation and the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and Madeline Island. * WHEN...Until 10 AM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
