At 818 PM PST, an area of heavy snow was located 7 miles north of Spirit Lake, or 7 miles south of Priest River, moving east at 10 mph. Locations impacted include... Sandpoint, Priest River, Newport, Spirit Lake, Ponderay, Kootenai, Dover, Oldtown, Elk, Mount Spokane, Schweitzer Mountain, Cocolalla, Laclede, Careywood, Blanchard, Granite, and Diamond Lake. This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 95 in Idaho between mile markers 451 and 480. U.S. Highway 2 in Idaho between mile markers 0 and 28. U.S. Highway 2 in Washington between mile markers 0 and 28. U.S. Highway 20 in Washington between mile markers 435 and 436. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the area.
