This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Cowlitz River at Kelso. * WHEN...Until late Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Above 21.5 feet, flooding of several low lying and secondary roads begins, including the Cowlitz Gardens neighborhood, along with flooding of pasture and lowland upstream of Kelso. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:32 PM PST Friday the stage was 22.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:32 PM PST Friday was 30.5 feet. - Forecast...The river has crested and will oscillate around flood stage with a maximum value of 22.6 feet through Sunday. In Oregon: Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Hood River, Lane, Linn, Lincoln, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Washington, and Yamhill. In Washington: Clark, Cowlitz, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum. * WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Landslides and debris flows are possible during this flood event.
