...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR SOUTHERN VERMONT... The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low humidity, which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening. * Affected Area...All of southern Vermont, including Bennington and Windham Counties. * Timing...12 PM to 10 PM Sunday. The lowest humidities and strongest winds will occur between 1 PM and 8 PM on Sunday. * Winds...South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * Relative Humidity...As low as 35 to 40 percent, but localized higher values across the southern Green Mountains.. * Temperatures...Highs in the mid 60s to lower 70s. * Impacts...If any fires were to start the weather and fuel conditions could cause fires to quickly get out of control and be difficult to contain.
