IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines. * This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Mecklenburg, southern Lunenburg and northwestern Brunswick Counties, including the following locations... At 618 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a broken line of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles south of Lunenburg to 7 miles east of Chase City to near Redoak. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Chase City around 625 PM EDT. Dundas around 635 PM EDT. Alberta around 645 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Gary, Bacons Fork, Cochran, Wilburn, Spanish Grove, Loves Mill, Rawlings, Gills Corner, Barrows Store, and Dolphin.
