At 839 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Emigration Canyon to near Brigham Young
University. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Salt Lake City, Provo, Sandy, Murray, Park City, Coalville, Heber
City, Orem, Lehi, Draper, Spanish Fork, Pleasant Grove, Cottonwood
Heights, Springville, Midvale, Holladay, American Fork, South Salt
Lake, Heber, and Lindon.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 15 between mile markers 259 and 278.
Interstate 84 between mile markers 112 and 119.
Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 124 and 175.
US Route 40 between mile markers 0 and 34.
Utah Route 35 between mile markers 0 and 3.
Mirror Lake Highway between mile markers 0 and 2.

portions of northern Utah County.

* WHERE...Northwestern Utah County in northern Utah...

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 741 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from strong
thunderstorms ongoing across northern Utah County Minor flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area,
especially for low-lying and poor drainage areas. Between 0.5 and
1.25 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lindon, Vineyard, Saratoga
Springs, Highland, Cedar Hills and Mt Timpanogos.
