...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Dense fog will reduce visibility to 1/4 NM or less. * WHERE...Galveston Bay. * WHEN...Until noon CST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Low visibility will make navigation difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visibility is beginning to decline rapidly on lower portions of Galveston Bay, per area webcams. Sea fog will continue to be an issue through the night and into tomorrow morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog signals. ...Patchy Sea Fog this Afternoon... Pockets of sea fog have been reported and observed over portions of Galveston Bay. Mariners should exercise caution when navigating through any remaining dense patches, especially near the entrance to Galveston Bay. Patches of dense sea fog continue to loom over the adjacent beaches and Gulf waters off of Galveston, and could spill over into the bay entrance at times. Dense sea fog is expected to fill in over the area once again tonight into Wednesday morning.
