THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 229 UNTIL 4 AM CDT /3 AM MDT/ TUESDAY. TORNADO WATCH 227 HAS EXPIRED. THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NEW MEXICO THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 2 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO EDDY LEA IN TEXAS THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 13 COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS PECOS REEVES TERRELL IN WESTERN TEXAS ANDREWS CRANE ECTOR GAINES LOVING MARTIN MIDLAND UPTON WARD WINKLER THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ANDREWS, ARTESIA, CARLSBAD, CARLSBAD CAVERNS NP, CRANE, DRYDEN, EUNICE, FORT STOCKTON, HOBBS, JAL, KERMIT, LOVINGTON, MCCAMEY, MENTONE, MIDLAND, MONAHANS, ODESSA, PECOS, RANKIN, SANDERSON, SEMINOLE, STANTON, AND TATUM.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico, including the following areas, Central Lea and Northern Lea and western Texas, including the following areas, Borden, Dawson, Gaines and Scurry. * WHEN...From this evening through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
