...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Fort Bend, Harris, Montgomery and Waller. * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 457 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Humble, Katy, Tomball, Jersey Village, Greater Greenspoint, Spring Branch North, Aldine, Spring Branch West, Spring Valley, Northside / Northline, Spring, Addicks Park Ten, The Woodlands, Eldridge / West Oaks, Kingwood, Hedwig Village, Hilshire Village, Willowbrook, Greater Inwood and Fairbanks / Northwest Crossing. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. &&

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT FRIDAY... ...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM FRIDAY TO 1 PM CDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, east to northeast winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. For the Gale Warning, northeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to around 40 kt and seas 5 to 8 ft expected. * WHERE...Galveston Bay and Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 7 PM CDT Friday. For the Gale Warning, from 7 PM Friday to 1 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...East winds near 20 knots, gusting over 25 knots tonight. Winds become northeast on Friday, increasing further by afternoon. Gusts to gale force are possible as early as Friday afternoon, especially near thunderstorms. Frequent gale force gusts expected by Friday evening. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM CDT FRIDAY THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Coastal Harris, Colorado, Fort Bend, Grimes, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller, Washington and Wharton. * WHEN...From 3 AM CDT Friday through late Friday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Waves of showers and storms will produce localized high rain rates and the potential for several inches of rain in a short time period. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
