North Central Cocke County in east Tennessee... * Until 230 PM EDT. * At 1044 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in areas around Parrottsville and Bybee. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flooding is already occurring. Highway 160 is closed in parts of the warned area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Parrottsville and Bybee. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
