...PATCHY DENSE FOG IN NORTH CAROLINA FOOTHILLS AND WESTERN PIEDMONT AND EASTERN UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA... Patchy Dense Fog has developed across locations in the North Carolina foothills and Piedmont, mainly west of the I-77 corridor. Patchy Dense Fog has also developed in portions of Upstate South Carolina, mainly east of the I-26 Corridor. Visibility may decrease suddenly and over short distances. Motorists traveling in these areas should use extra caution. Slow down, increase following distance, and turn on your low-beam headlights. The fog should begin to dissipate by 9 AM EST.
