Marine Weather Statement
Issued: 4:59 AM Dec. 19, 2025 – National Weather Service
...PATCHY DENSE FOG OVERNIGHT... Areas of fog, with locally dense fog, could remain across portions of the nearshore South Carolina waters, including the Charleston Harbor during the next couple hours. Fog could limit visibility to less than 1/2 mile at times, causing hazardous navigation conditions. By late tonight, a cold front will arrive and winds should strengthen, dissipating any fog. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners are urged to navigate with extreme care. If you must navigate in these conditions, proceed with caution. Use proper fog signals, including fog horns. Make sure all navigational running lights are on. Please relay any reports of sea fog to the Charleston or Tybee Island Coast Guard stations and ask them to immediately forward your report to the National Weather Service in Charleston. &&
