...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
following counties, Chesterfield, Fairfield, Kershaw and Lancaster.

* WHEN...Until 115 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1017 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lake Wateree Dam, Pageland, Kershaw, Elgin, Heath Springs,
Westville, Mt Pisgah, Liberty Hill, Lake Wateree State Park,
Longtown, Carolina Sandhills Wildlife Refuge, Jefferson,
Ruby, Ridgeway, Mount Croghan, Kershaw Correctional
Institution, Pleasant Hill, North Central High School, Forty
Acre Rock Preserve and Kirk Air Base.
- This includes Interstate 77 between mile markers 33 and 46.

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.
