Special Weather Statement
Issued: 7:28 AM May. 27, 2019 – National Weather Service

Unseasonably hot temperatures will impact far interior Southeast
Georgia and parts of Southeast South Carolina, including the
Charleston Metro Area, again this afternoon. Highs are expected
to peak in the 100 to 102 degree range. Heat of this magnitude,
especially so early in the season, could become hazardous if
precautions are not taken.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

Look Before You Lock. DO NOT leave children or pets unattended in
a hot vehicle.
