Northwestern Burlington County in southern New Jersey... Northwestern Camden County in southern New Jersey... Northwestern Gloucester County in southern New Jersey... Northern Salem County in southern New Jersey... Southeastern Bucks County in southeastern Pennsylvania... Chester County in southeastern Pennsylvania... Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania... Southeastern Montgomery County in southeastern Pennsylvania... Philadelphia County in southeastern Pennsylvania... * WHEN...Until 915 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying, urban, and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 525 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... In New Jersey, Camden, Gloucester, and Northwestern Burlington Counties. In Pennsylvania, Delaware, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties. * WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
