...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches, with locally up to 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Crawford, Northern Erie, and Southern Erie Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions will impact holiday travel. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will return to the region this evening. A snow squall will likely produce a short period of 1 to 2 inch per hour snowfall rates during mid evening. Snow showers will then continue overnight and into Friday, especially in southeastern Erie and northern Crawford Counties. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
