...FLOOD WATCH FOR POTENTIAL ICE JAMS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by ice jams is possible. * WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following counties, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset. * WHEN...Through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Significant ice breakup on area rivers and creeks has been observed over the last few days as a result of an extended stretch of mild temperatures. Multiple rounds of heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms this afternoon and overnight could produce 1-1.5" of rain in the watch area.
