EVENING FOR WEST CENTRAL FOREST, NORTHEASTERN MERCER, CENTRAL
VENANGO AND NORTHWESTERN CLARION COUNTIES...

At 734 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain near Oil
City, moving east at 15 mph. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Oil City, Franklin, Sugarcreek, Hasson Heights, Stoneboro, Seneca,
Polk, Sandy Lake, Rouseville, Kennerdell, Woodland Heights, Utica,
New Lebanon, Cranberry Township and Maurice K Goddard State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, including the following
areas, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey,
Harrison, Jefferson OH, Monroe, Muskingum, Noble and Tuscarawas,
Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Allegheny, Armstrong,
Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Fayette,
Indiana, Westmoreland, Indiana, Jefferson PA, Lawrence, Mercer,
Venango, Washington and Westmoreland, and West Virginia, including
the following areas, Brooke, Preston, Tucker, Hancock, Marion,
Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, and Wetzel.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are
running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
