THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 465 IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EDT MONDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN PENNSYLVANIA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 15 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA ADAMS BEDFORD BLAIR CUMBERLAND DAUPHIN FRANKLIN FULTON HUNTINGDON JUNIATA LANCASTER LEBANON MIFFLIN PERRY SCHUYLKILL YORK THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALTOONA, BEDFORD, CARLISLE, CHAMBERSBURG, GETTYSBURG, HARRISBURG, HERSHEY, HUNTINGDON, LANCASTER, LEBANON, LEWISTOWN, MCCONNELLSBURG, MIFFLINTOWN, MOUNT UNION, NEWPORT, POTTSVILLE, WAYNESBORO, AND YORK.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Southern Centre, Southern Clinton, Southern Lycoming, Union and York. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of slow moving thunderstorms are expected with torrential downpours and intense rain rates over 2 inches per hour possible. Localized rainfall totals could exceed 5 inches.
