Flood Watch
Issued: 9:58 AM Feb. 20, 2026 – National Weather Service
...FLOOD WATCH FOR AN ICE JAM REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by ice jams is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
counties, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Significant ice breakup on area rivers and creeks has been
observed over the last few days as a result of an extended
stretch of mild temperatures.

A final round of moderate to heavy rain and embedded
thunderstorms will come to an end during the morning commute
hours this Friday. Rainfall between 0.5 and 0.75 of an inch
fell overnight in the watch area. This heavy rainfall
combined with snowmelt will produce increased streamflows and
an elevated risk of ice jam flooding.
