...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM EARLY THIS MORNING TO LATE THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Youghiogheny River at Connellsville. * WHEN...From early this morning to late this evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flooding begins in the vicinity of Yough Park. At 14.0 feet, Several inches of water floods basements of about 30 homes along left bank. River is bankfull along the left bank just downstream from the Crawford Street Bridge. Water reaches the level of the Hurricane Ivan flood of September 18, 2004. At 14.1 feet, Water reaches level of March 3, 2015. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:15 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 12.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:15 AM EDT Wednesday was 12.7 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage by late this afternoon and continue falling to 5.7 feet by early Friday afternoon. It will then rise to 6.2 feet early Saturday morning.
