Southeastern Union County in central Pennsylvania... * WHEN...Until 600 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 321 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sunbury, Shamokin, Mount Carmel, Lewisburg, Selinsgrove, Northumberland, Kulpmont, Winfield, Elysburg, Fairview- Ferndale, Trevorton, Shamokin Dam, Linntown, Marshallton, Hummels Wharf, Middleburg, McClure, Montandon and Kreamer. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rainfall rates could exceed 3 inches per hour where several storms track east-southeast across the same locations.
