* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Marys River near Philomath.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Above 20.5 feet, expect flooding of some homes in the
southern part of Corvallis to begin, especially when the
Willamette is also running high. In south Corvallis, a trailer
park and light industrial areas begin to flood. Flooding may begin
in the vicinity of Chapel Drive and Grange Hall Road on the south
side of Philomath. Problems with the sewers have historically
begun in Philomath at this and higher stages.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM PST Friday the stage was 20.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 PM PST Friday was 21.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river has crested and will fall below flood
stage late tonight.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

forecast.

* WHERE...Luckiamute River near Suver.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Above 32.0 feet, expect major flooding of roads and
structures. Numerous road closures can be expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM PST Friday the stage was 30.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM PST Friday was 31.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river has crested and is expected to fall
below flood stage early Sunday morning and continue falling
to 13.2 feet Monday, December 29.
- Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Northwest Oregon and southwest Washington including the
following counties. In Oregon: Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop,
Columbia, Hood River, Lane, Linn, Lincoln, Marion, Multnomah,
Polk, Tillamook, Washington, and Yamhill. In Washington: Clark,
Cowlitz, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum.

* WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Landslides and debris flows are possible during this flood event.
People, structures, and roads located below steep slopes, in
canyons, and near the mouths of canyons may be at serious risk
from rapidly moving landslides.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Although heavy rain has ended, widespread river flooding is
expected to continue through Friday night, except through
Saturday along slower responding rivers.
