...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM PST SATURDAY... * WHAT...High astronomical tides and an increase in surge associated with storm systems offshore resulting in minor coastal flooding at times of high tide. * WHERE...Coos Bay and estuaries. * WHEN...Until 1 PM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Low lying roadways may be closed and low lying property and some critical infrastructure may be inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest risk of coastal flooding will be associated with the high tides this morning and early this afternoon and again Saturday morning into early Saturday afternoon. * View the hazard area in detail at https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/?wfo=mfr PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This evening through Saturday, winds becoming south 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas becoming very steep and wind driven 15 to 20 ft. * WHERE...All areas within 10 nm from shore. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 10 PM PST this evening. For the Gale Warning, from 10 PM PST this evening to 7 AM PST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds and very steep seas could capsize or damage vessels.
