At 932 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Talent, or 8 miles west of Ashland, moving northwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...Penny size hail and very heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Ponding and standing water is possible on area roads, along with quick rises on small streams and creeks. Locations impacted include... Ashland, the hills west of Ashland, Woodrat Mountain and Kennedy Meadows. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
