...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING
THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Increased threat of sneaker waves expected.

* WHERE...The beaches of Curry, Coos and Douglas Counties.

* WHEN...From 11 AM PDT Monday morning through 8 PM PDT Monday
evening.

* IMPACTS...Waves can run up significantly farther on a beach
than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These sneaker
waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly
pull them into the cold ocean waters, resulting in serious
injury or death. Waves may also lift driftwood logs, trapping
anyone caught underneath.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid climbing on rocks and jetties. Stay away from the ocean and
remain out of the water to avoid hazardous conditions.

* WHERE...All areas.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM PDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds and/or steep seas could capsize or
damage smaller vessels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners and those operating smaller vessels should
remain in port and avoid the area of hazardous conditions.
