...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Ohio, including the following counties, in north central Ohio, Erie, Huron and Lorain. In northeast Ohio, Cuyahoga. * WHEN...Until 500 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 151 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lorain, Elyria, Norwalk, Vermilion, Western Vermilion, Strongsville, Westlake, North Ridgeville, Avon Lake, Amherst, Bellevue, Grafton, Wellington, Milan, Northern Milan, Wakeman, North Olmsted, Avon, Berea and Bay Village. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
