Special Weather Statement
Issued: 4:18 AM Nov. 11, 2025 – National Weather Service
...AN AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN
MEIGS...GALLIA... EASTERN JACKSON...SOUTHEASTERN VINTON...CENTRAL
LAWRENCE...MASON... NORTHEASTERN CABELL AND WESTERN PUTNAM
COUNTIES...

At 1114 PM EST, an area of moderate to heavy heavy snow was located
along a line extending from 10 miles west of Rutland to 7 miles
north of Chesapeake. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Point Pleasant, Gallipolis, Oak Hill, Rio Grande, Lake Vesuvius,
Hurricane, Barboursville, Milton, Eleanor, Buffalo, Ona, Culloden,
Teays Valley, Gallia, Vernon, Waterloo, Middleport, Aid, Crown City,
and Athalia.

This includes Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 20
and 37.

Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a half of a mile in this
area of moderate to heavy snow.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of this area. Please
monitor local media outlets and the national weather service for
further statements.

Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly
refreezes. Bridges and overpasses remain icy from earlier snowfall,
and the new snowfall will hide the ice underneath.

Slow down, especially when approaching bridges or overpasses, and
avoid sudden changes in speed and direction.
