...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Mahoning County in northeastern Ohio... Southeastern Portage County in northeastern Ohio... Trumbull County in northeastern Ohio... * WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 334 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Youngstown, Warren, Niles, Hubbard, Cortland, Newton Falls, Lordstown, Leavittsburg, Hilltop, Vienna Center, Bristolville, Maplewood Park, Austintown, Girard, Vienna, McDonald, Atwater, Mecca, Edinburg and Windham. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information. ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Ohio, including the following areas, Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit and Trumbull and northwest Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Crawford, Northern Erie and Southern Erie. * WHEN...Until 10 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into this evening. Most of the area will receive at least 1 inch of rain with localized amounts as high as 3 to 4 inches.
