...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...South to southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60
mph expected this morning. Winds become southwest this afternoon
with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties. Strongest gusts are expected
this morning along the northwest and northern face of the Tug
Hill. Southwest winds will be countywide.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Scattered power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees. If possible,
remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING
TO 8 PM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 6 to 10
inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as
45 mph will produce areas of blowing snow Monday night and Tuesday.

* WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties. The highest accumulations
are expected across the Tug Hill Plateau.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 8 PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds
will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
