...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected through today, followed by more localized lake effect snow tonight through early Thursday. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches today along the Tug Hill Plateau. Lake effect snow accumulations 2 to 5 inches tonight in the most persistent lake snows. * WHERE...Oswego and Lewis Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities. Submit snow reports through our website or social media. During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just a few miles away.
