At 259 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Gardnertown to near Peekskill. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Newburgh and Cold Spring around 305 PM EDT. Fahnestock State Park around 315 PM EDT. Rockland County in southeastern New York... * WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 213 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area.
