* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow and a brief wintry
mix expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches. For
the Winter Storm Watch, heavy lake effect snow possible. Total
snow accumulations of 7 inches or more possible.

* WHERE...Madison, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 1 AM EST Thursday.
For the Winter Storm Watch, from late tonight through Friday
morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A period of steady snow is expected to move
in this morning and continue much of the day. Lake effect and
upslope snow showers along with patchy blowing snow then continues
this evening into tonight. A band of significant lake effect snow
is then possible Thursday into Thursday night, with more blowing
and drifting snow possible as westerly winds gust up to 40 mph
