Alabama Swamps with some road closures likely.

ending at 4:00 AM EDT Thursday was 10.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Tonawanda Creek at Rapids.

* WHEN...From this morning to late Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Moderate flood, some residential flooding
with widespread road closures in North Clarence, east into
Newstead and Royalton. Water begins to back up into smaller creeks
such as Ransom, Black, Beeman, Gott, and Mud Creeks. Flooding in
some low lying areas along Tonawanda Creek Road, Rapids Road, and
Wolcott Road, with widespread farmland flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 10.28 feet and rising.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 14.8 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Aero Drive from Holtz to Transit Roads in Cheektowaga. Also some
flooding along the flood control project area in Amherst such as
the bike path and golf course. Minor flooding in Ellicott Creek
Park. Little or no overall damage.

- At 4:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 8.46 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
