...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR EAST CENTRAL SANTA FE, WEST CENTRAL MORA AND NORTHWESTERN SAN MIGUEL COUNTIES... At 324 PM MDT, Although rainfall has currently ended, radar estimates up to 2 inches of rain fell with earlier storms. Excessive runoff will continue, and a high risk of flash flooding continues. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pecos, Tererro, Cowles, Glorieta, South San Ysidro and San Jose. This includes the following highways... State Road 63 between Mile Markers 1 and 25. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 303 and 307...and near Mile Marker 311...and between Mile Markers 319 and 322. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in steep, narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and drainages. If outdoors, stay away from streams and rivers, seek higher ground. Never cross fast flowing water on foot. && FLASH FLOOD...RADAR INDICATED

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...West Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 400 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 102 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain could result in flash flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northern, central, and western New Mexico. * WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour Tuesday afternoon and evening.
