...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MDT THIS MORNING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of north central New Mexico, including the following areas, Espanola Valley and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. * WHEN...From 11 AM MDT this morning through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of showers and storms are likely again Thursday. Storms with heavy rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour may occur during the afternoon and evening then another batch of showers with light to moderate rates is expected during the overnight hours. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and storms with moderate to briefly heavy rainfall rates will continue through the early morning hours.
