...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 AM EDT... For the following areas... Coastal waters from Manasquan Inlet to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Sandy Hook to Manasquan Inlet NJ out 20 NM... Waters from Manasquan Inlet NJ to Little Egg Inlet NJ from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Sandy Hook NJ to Manasquan Inlet NJ from 20 to 40 NM... At 723 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 11 nm west of Buoy 44025 to 12 nm northeast of Deepwater Reef, moving southeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Sea Girt Reef, Ship Bottom, Atlantic Highlands, Garden State South Reef, Axel Carlson Reef, Silverton, Harvey Cedars, Lavallette, Barnegat Light, and North Beach Haven. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts.
