...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...Less than one foot of inundation above ground level in
vulnerable areas near the waterfront.

* WHERE...Hudson, Eastern Bergen and Eastern Essex Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Residual minor flooding in the more vulnerable
locations near the waterfront, mainly along the Hackensack River
and in the Meadowlands. Some roads and low lying properties
including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses
with basements near the waterfront will experience minor
flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Some brief and spotty minor flooding may
occur with the high tide cycle late Tuesday afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

* WHAT...Northeast winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
seas 10 to 15 feet.

* WHERE...New York Harbor, including Raritan Bay and Sandy Hook
Bay, and Sandy Hook NJ to Fire Island Inlet NY out 20 nm.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
