- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
afternoon to a crest of 25.6 feet tomorrow morning. It will then
fall below flood stage late Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 23.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 25.6

- Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 1:45 PM CDT Thursday was 25.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.1 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early
Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 12:45 PM CDT Thursday was 16.1 feet.

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 1:00 PM CDT Thursday was 16.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.8 feet
early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...West Central Gage County in southeastern Nebraska...
Jefferson County in southeastern Nebraska...
Saline County in southeastern Nebraska...
Southwestern Seward County in southeastern Nebraska...

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1250 PM CDT, emergency management reported continued flooding
across the warned area due to the very heavy rainfall that
occurred on Wednesday night. Flooding is already occurring. In
many locations, the water is slowly receding, but will continue
for several hours, especially in low lying areas along larger
creeks and rivers. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fairbury, Crete, Wilber, Friend, Dorchester, De Witt, Plymouth,
Western, Daykin, Cordova, Endicott, Jansen, Tobias, Swanton,
Reynolds, Harbine, Swan Creek Wildlife Management Area, The
Highway 41 and 15 South Junction and Willard Meyer Recreation
Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
