At 1114 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles east of
Merricourt City, or 15 miles north of Ellendale, moving south at 45
mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Ellendale, Oakes, Lamoure, Edgeley, Kulm, Marion, La Moure, Adrian,
Verona, Fullerton, Forbes, Dickey, Ludden, La Moure City,

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Wishek, Kulm, Gackle, Lehr, Jud, Venturia, Fredonia, Green Lake,

THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 95 to
105 possible. High temperatures will range from around 92 to 102
Saturday, 97 to 107 on Sunday, and 95 to 105 on Monday.

* WHERE...All of western and central North Dakota including the James
River Valley.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight low temperatures will only drop to
around 70 degrees, providing little relief from the heat.
