...PATCHY DENSE SEA FOG MAY PERIODICALLY MOVE ONSHORE...

Areas of sea fog and low stratus over the adjacent Atlantic
waters, will periodically move partially onshore reducing
visibility to 1 to 3 miles at times during this evening and
overnight. Within this fog, motorists may encounter patchy
dense sea fog which will further reduce visibility to less than
1/2 mile.

Motorists encountering the fog should immediately SLOW down, make
use of low beam headlights and allow extra distance between you
and the vehicle ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.

* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce
visibility to 1/2 to less than 1 NM, with some area waters
observing near 0 NM at times. For the Small Craft Advisory,
southwest winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and seas 4 to
6 ft expected.

* WHERE...Southeast North Carolina and Northeast South Carolina
coastal waters.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 7 AM EST Friday. For
the Small Craft Advisory, from 7 AM to 8 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Low
visibility will make navigation quite difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

To aid your navigation through the fog, proceed with caution.
Make sure all running lights are on, use your onboard radar and
GPS, especially when boating across shallow bathymetry waters such
as area inlets and local shoals. When inshore, use the aids of
navigation beacons.
