...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FOR EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA WEDNESDAY... Breezy westerly winds of 15 to 20 mph will overlap with relative humidities falling into the 30 to 35 percent range Wednesday afternoon. This will lead to increased fire danger for Eastern North Carolina, so an Increased Fire Danger Statement is now in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM Wednesday. Outdoor burning is discouraged. Please refer to your local burn permitting authority on whether you can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution and ensure fire suppression equipment is readily available.
