Western Granville County in central North Carolina... Eastern Orange County in central North Carolina... Eastern Person County in central North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 727 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Durham, Chapel Hill, Roxboro, Hillsborough, Carrboro, Butner, Rougemont, Bahama, Lake Michie, Moriah, Surl, Lake Butner, Eno River State Park, Schley, Gorman, Bethesda, Falls Lake, Parkwood, Bethel Hill and Mayo Reservoir. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
