...ADDITIONAL SNOW EXPECTED OVER THE HIGH ELEVATIONS OF THE SMOKIES THROUGH DAYBREAK... Snow showers will continue across the high elevations of the Smokies through the early morning hours, and finally tapering off by mid-morning. Elevations above 3500 feet right near the Tennessee border could get as much as 4 inches of additional snow. US Highway 441 is closed across Newfound Gap due to snow and ice. More populated areas of Graham, Swain, and Haywood counties may only get a dusting of snow, with maybe up to an inch around Balsam Gap and Soco Gap.

For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 1 AM Saturday to 7 AM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
