At 717 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 5 miles southeast of Newland to 7 miles southeast of
Spruce Pine to 11 miles west of Marion to 5 miles southwest of
Downtown Asheville, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
