...PATCHY DENSE FOG EXPECTED EARLY THIS MORNING... Areas of fog, dense at times, is expected to persist through early this morning in Onslow, Carteret, Jones and Craven counties. Visibilities could reach one quarter mile or less at times. Fog is expected to dissipate early Wednesday morning. If you need to travel, turn on your low beam headlights when approaching fog, drive slowly, and keep your distance from other vehicles.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with occasional gusts up to 35 kt and seas 4 to 6 ft. * WHERE...The coastal waters from Oregon Inlet to Cape Hatteras and the coastal waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City. * WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate southerly winds will develop this morning in advance of an approaching cold front, and continue into this evening. A period of 30 to 35 kt wind gusts will be possible this afternoon, especially over the warmest waters adjacent to the Gulf Stream. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions. &&
