Dry and windy conditions are expected today across central North
Carolina. Westerly winds will gust as high as 20 to 25 mph, with
infrequent gusts up to 30 mph. These winds combined with low
humidity of 20 to 30 percent and dry fuel conditions will result
in an increased risk of adverse fire behavior today.

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Please consult your local
burn permitting authorities as to whether burning is allowed
today. If you must burn, use extreme caution, as fires can spread
rapidly under these conditions.
